Are You Playing Hide and Seek?

Hi there!


Do you sometimes feel like something's off, but you just can't quite put your finger on what it is?


It's like a nagging little voice in your head that won't pipe down.


Well, that might be a sign you're hiding from yourself though you may not even realize it.


We all have those parts of ourselves we'd rather not face.


It could be something you are deeply ashamed of, or a mistake you would prefer to forget.


It may even be a dream you’re too afraid to pursue.


Whatever it is, you push it down, hoping it will stay buried forever.


But the problem is when you hide from yourself it has a sneaky way of seeping into every aspect of your life, whether you’re aware of it or not.


You might feel it as self-doubt, anxiety, or just this nagging sense of emptiness.


However It manifests it impacts your relationships, your job, and your overall well-being.


Now, I know you are probably not deliberately playing hide and seek from your true self.


Most of the time, you likely aren’t even aware it's happening.


But the fact is: the stuff you’re most scared to face? That's usually what you need to confront the most. I know, I've been there.


So, how do you know if you're running away from yourself? Here are some telltale signs to look out for:


  • You're constantly keeping yourself busy to avoid any real soul-searching.

  • You tell yourself you are just taking a break to avoid doing ‘that thing’ that you are scared to do.

  • You've got a knack for tripping yourself up, making choices that don't really align with what you want deep down.
