The Web We Weave

Updated: Oct 10

Dear

It's been a while since I last connected with you.

What's been happening in your world - would love to hear.

It's been pretty crazy at this end - lots going on, not the least being house hunting and packing for our move on October 31.

I also I would like to share something I wrote yesterday with you.

The Web We Weave:

I was sitting in my living room when a spider weaving its web outside the window caught my eye.

Intrigued I sat quietly, observing it as it worked.

Every movement was slow and careful, but also full of purpose.

Each strand, delicate, deliberate, and wholly its own.

It’s been at it for over an hour, completely focused on its task.

To the spider, this is no ordinary act. It is creating a space, a home, a reflection of its very being.

As I watched, I couldn't help but think about the work I do, helping people to uncover and embrace the truth of who they are.

Each of us, like that spider, is always weaving something – often unaware of the subconscious patterns we follow.

We create protective layers, build walls, and create personas to shield ourselves from judgement, rejection, or pain.

It feels safe, but after a while these same webs can become traps.

So many people spend years in the shadows, hiding parts of themselves they fear are unworthy or unlovable.

But just as the spider weaves with purpose, they too have the ability to create something new.

As a coach I help my clients become aware of these invisible strands — the fear, self-doubt, and beliefs that shape their choices, which are holding them back.

Watching the spider it strikes me how vulnerable it is as it spins, exposed to the elements, yet still it continues its work with quiet determination.

In the same way, I guide my clients to step out of their protective shells, to allow themselves to be seen, heard, and known as who they are — confidently, unapologetically.

The spider’s work is a reminder that we are all creators.

And as I watched this small weaver outside my window, it occurs to me that if a spider can continue weaving its web through all the challenges it faces, then so can we all.

Our voices, our truths are the threads we use.

And when we show up with intention, we too can create something beautiful, something real.

Hugs,

Elisa
