Facing The Elements - Part One

Facing The Elements

Hi

There’s something captivating about watching a spider spin its web.

It works in the open, exposed to the elements — wind, rain, predators, — yet it keeps weaving, thread by thread, with quiet determination.

There’s no guarantee its web will hold, but the spider doesn’t hesitate.

It faces the elements head-on, trusting the strength of what it creates.

The spider doesn’t hide; it faces whatever comes its way.

In many ways, being vulnerable is like that.

It’s stepping out into the open, knowing full well there are risks.

It’s letting people see you as you really are without the walls or the masks, imperfections and all, even when you know the possibility of judgment or rejection looms.

Because you know what you are creating is real and it’s worth the exposure.

But it isn’t easy.

We’ve been taught to see vulnerability as a weakness.

To Keep our guard up.

Where in your life are you keeping your guard up?

What do you think might happen if you let it down?

Share in the comments or reply to this email.

Hugs,
